I snagged a Logitech G413 Carbon at a nearby thrift store for 7.99$. It has a broken riser foot but, other than that, looks almost brand new. (Took me an hour to clean tho)

I'd like one too but wondering if it's cheaper without the mass of elderly grey pubes?

AMD Ryzen 5 Pro 5650G and Asrock B550M Pro4 to upgrade the ageing Haswell Xeon running my Truenas system. I just need to find some DDR4 ECC now.

My back is proper messed up at the mo', and it's getting worse. I've got a Varier Balans, but figured even if it's a Clever Chair sitting for eighteen hours a day still ain't great. So, time to start using my desk in standing mode again - and a thirty quid lump of foam rubber "anti-fatigue mat" to assist.

I am sorely tempted to turn that "massage rollerball" in the middle into a functional USB trackball...

    I swear by these

I only use the mat, my OH who comes from a family where back operations are the norm wouldn't be without it. Mind you she also does Pilates to keep it in check.

When you start off getting used to it if you find it too hard on the floor using it on a bed will lessen the impact a bit.

Always have a good 15 minutes or so when I get a twinge, be it back or shoulders, sometimes longer and sometimes too long as it can send me to sleep.

It looks like my org's actually going to meet up, so there's I good chance I may be in Manchester that weekend now.

Ain't paying for no tickets though! Probably will end up visiting the tourist spots.

There's likely going to be several "Bar Citizen" meets that weekend. :thumb:

    Back to the topic:-
HTC finally released the final part of my VR setup - a full-face tracking module. So I ordered it.

Gave it a shot on the living room rug. Christ, that's an uncomfortable first few minutes, innit? Stuck it out for about 17 minutes or so, then got up - which may have been even more painful than the start.

Back is feeling a bit better now, though I can't tell if that's because it worked or just because I lay flat on a hard surface for a bit... or if it's just overloaded the nerves and sent me numb!

I'll stick with it, see how it goes. Not sure I'll ever get used to the sensation, though - those spikes are way sharper than I was expecting!

I think it can take a bit of getting used to and if your back muscles are particularly messed up it can be more sensitive, particularly if you've never used one.

Using on a bed will soften it a bit more. Glad it sounds like it may have helped a little, keep giving it a try though.

In the early days I was in very two minds about them but nowadays they can send me to sleep it's so comfy

E: Although your back always looks like swiss cheese when you're done.

Just spent a bit on networking hardware... I don't need to spend any more

Out of curiosity. What router you're using?
