Hey, new guy here, /g/ kinda helped but not by far. I'm looking for, well, any kind of program that can give my computer a little bit of personality. Mainly a way to make my PC play sound clips, programs, and make other things happen when I do a certain thing I tell it to do, start-up and shut-down, or maybe just at random times. And, if this isn't too vague for you, just ways to give it personality instead of being this big hot box that plays games. /g/ gave me an OS-Tan, but I think there might be other things out there (OS-Tan isn't really my personal taste). I'm running Windows XP. Anything free would be nice, but if it isn't free that's okay too. It also doesn't necessarily have to be a single program, just as long as I get something to what I'm requesting. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

I've found gothic 821 CN BT to be close (it's the Fallout games' title font) but not quite. Its edges are less straight.
Any help ? I might resort to specialist font websites.

I thought this was worth a mention here,

It's called www.ted.com

TED is a yearly (I believe) conference where, basically, all the smartest people in the world, from every discipline you can imagine, come together and give talks on what they're up to. The website itself streams these talks, which range from 5 min. to 20 min.

It started very small, with the original three disciplines of Technology, Entertainment and Design, but has grown in scale and prominence. Now there's talks on everything from undersea exploration, to magic tricks, to cultural anthropology, to amazing new technologies, to spiritualism and atheism, and more and more and more.

I have already whiled away literally hours and hours watching these vids. They're very stimulating and fascinating. Not every talk is pure gold, but the majority are really good if not amazing.

View them with your family

PASS IT ON...

sorry just had to get that off my chest. That was the most epic game i've seen for ages. I know the score was only 8 - 9 but god damn what a match.

The fact that scotland spent most of the game in their own half and the ball spent most of it's time with the aussies matters not. what does matter is that the scots made 100 more tackles than the aussies in what was the most awsome display of deffensive rugby ever.

The austrailians should've taken it but their kicking was rubbish, they had two trys held up and one disallowed for a forward pass.

I wish i'd been at murryfield

I know theres allot of hate with Sony here on bit-tech (hey I have been one of the longtime supporters of the anti-sony movement here)....but I have to say the Uncharted games are really absolutely fantastic and really do deserve recognition for this.

I know im late to the scene with them but I picked Uncharted 1 up for £14.99 platinum as I had seen the great reviews for it...It always tickled my fancy the whole indiana jones theme but never gave it the time of day.

I played the first one and I was severely hooked - It is a movie unfolding right in front of you, the cutscenes, the music, the gameplay, graphics - It is all amazing.

After completing Uncharted 1 I felt sad the adventure was over... but fortunately I had a sealed copy of Uncharted 2 that had arrived through the post right behind it! Uncharted 1 was great and I wondered how on earth Uncharted 2 would beat it? I played the demo but that didnt reveal to me too much about it (mainly as it was multiplayer).

I put in the disk for uncharted 2 and the opening sequence just made my jaw drop....the graphics, playability, smoothness, depth...it had improved on Uncharted 1 in every way!

Im about half-way through it and smiling through it all - curious to findout what happens next.

If you liked Metal Gear Solid, if you like the final fantasy games....if you like Gears of war...its all in here in this one game.

I have to hand it to naughty dog for this game, bravo.

If you have a ps3 and dont have these games - Seriously...get them now!

Its gems like this I would buy a ps3 too for those on the fence.

Preferably no less than 500gig and as reliable as possible, obviously I know that I’ll get what I pay for but I’d prefer not to buy something that will die in the first five minutes of use….

The dream would be a decent NON-maxtor 1tb external coming in as far below £70 as is possible without the HD having fell off the back of a truck! (If it does need to fall off the back of a truck and any of you know where this truck is, PM me!:D)
Thanks as always!
