Hey agains guys, Sorry to be a pain (once again) but i'm lost in the sea of graphics card! I have about £170 ~ £200 to spend on a graphics card.. The cheaper the better really but yeah. I will prodimently be working on a 1080p TV for now until I head off to uni in a year and probably grab a U24XX or what ever around then. So ideally needs to be able to play BF3 on good settings (SLI/XFIRE is an option but not a favourite) What have you got, ideally buying today tomorrow so links are also welcome I promise this will be my last question....not hahah!
GTX 560 fits your budget perfectly from the Nvidia side of the fence - more vram/better cooler will be more expensive, but it's a strong card for the money. @ dabs.com GTX 560 is £139.99 The cheapest I can find a GTX570 is over £200, so quite a big jump in price...
This. With that budget you definitely want a 560Ti. If you were spending <£140 a 6870 is a better bet for the money.
Asus 1GB GeForce GTX 560 Ti DirectCU II... http://www.scan.co.uk/products/1gb-...hader-1800mhz-384-cores-mhdmi-plusfree-batman
An MSI 560 Ti Twin Frozr is the only logical choice... http://www.bit-tech.net/hardware/graphics/2011/01/27/msi-geforce-gtx-560-ti-1gb-review/1 http://www.scan.co.uk/products/1gb-...gpu-880mhz-shader-1760mhz-384-cores-plusfree-
I suggested the 560 non-Ti because Nvidia's current pricing lineup is stupid - the 560 represents far better value than the Ti, which (along with the 570 and 580) is stupidly overpriced. The extra £40-60 for the Ti is hardly going to impact BF3 performance (by 10% maybe, lol).
Now i cant decide really, as i could yet the 560 ti Top or save some money and get a 2GB 6870 for less?
Right Have narrowed it down: This - Asus 1Gb 560TI-Top £179.47 clicky! Or This XFX 2GB AMD 6870 £164.02 clicky! Which one, tell me and i will get it now...
The OP's budget was up to £200 so I don't see a problem... it's certainly the best value card with it's overclocking headroom.
XFX do not a fantastic reputation have! Plus you'll get Batman Arkham City with the GTX 560 Ti! Friday is usually Nvidia day on SCAN so it might be a good idea to check the 'Today Only' page then for discounts.
