Ok I've always been a fan on Enermax power Supply's ever since seeing bit tech's original review of the Enermax Revolution a year and a bit ago, but this just blew me away http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zcsY5vKhFC8&feature=g-u&context=G281b935FUAAAAAAAAAA Obviously it's badly let down by its power cable braiding, but I'm not to bothered about this, as (as is on my 1500w unit) it means I can do it myself seeing as all the cables are modular, the packaging for a start is so much better than my old revolution unit. Essentially skip to about 10.55 and listen to his conclusion, I won't ruin the surprise, but OH MY GOD! The Engineering involved in this units is truly amazing, and that's why I will always stick to buying them, even if they have other bits are not entirely up to scratch, but I'm sure they'll work on that
I've used Enermax for many years. Currently have an Enermax 625w which has driven my dual 560Ti SLI with 1st gen i7 at 4ghz running Crysis 2 DX11 at up to 620 watts. The PSU barely gets warm. Now running i5 2500k so SLI draw should be a little less.
I had to go for Silverstone Strider, as it was the only 1500W PSU on the market at the time of purchase. It's very solid, but I would love to see a head to head with the Enermax
I've only ever bought two PSUs, both Enermax units. The first unit (350W) was bought in 2003, the second unit (600W) was bought in 2005. Both units are still in daily use to this day, the first in my folks machine and the second in my own. I can't fault them at all.
Great customer support as well. They sent me a couple of 8-Pin PCI-Express cables that my Galaxy 850W lacked for free.
