Nooooo Quizz_kid ... I feel your pain it's always a worry even when you're building . Looks like you're make good progress on the repairs I must admit on rebox I did bash one of the earlier versions against the bench just to see what it would take to break it

I've patched little bits of veneer in to fix similar damage in the past , might work well as the grain is straight and uniform . Depends how bad the mdf is although soaking it in thin cyano (super glue) might help to stabilize it?

I cry for you.
I can only imagine the feeling seeing it falling to the ground in slow motion.
One of my biggest fear, having a project destroyed by a clumpsy mistake.

I'll bet you'll sort it out just as nice as the original though.

 

Accident like that could happen to any modder sadly with us all being human.

Didn't mention this on my log but on stealthlow after finally getting the curved window done right I left it in the living room & my bro dropped his heavy bunch of keys on it, scared the bleep out of me thought that must have hurt it was very lucky it didn't damage it, took ages to figure out how to do it right but if it did get cracked I knew the process of doing it again, hassle yes but fixable, absolutely.

I'm just glad your an awesome enough modder/creator to be able to fix it which is why you were able to not freak out about it which makes you certifiably awesome in my books.

 

I´ve made some veneer fixes before, with mixed results. It´s tricky... I might leave it scarred if it looks authentic enough But thanks for the cyano tip mate!

The seconds right after touchdown was horrible, not knowing the damages, imagining the worst! Now I feel kinda ok about it... Could´ve been a lot worse I guess.

Sounds like you experienced every modder's nightmare. This is the kind of stuff that could be the stuff of modder's nightmares. I would hate if that were to happen to me. Hopefully you will figure out a way to undo the damage.

Yesterday I put some oil on the damaged corner, and it don´t look that bad actually. So now I´m just waiting for HDD delivery. But that´s not for you to wait for. The pictures are done... Just going to edit a short video tonight. You´ll have the finals tomorrow.
