That's just offensive to my eyes. Give me a blank keyboard, in silver, grey or black, fit with acid green backlight, ???, Profit.

It's not as if you're going to suddenly forget where most of the keys are. Give me just the notches on the home-row and i'll type on any standard Qwerty keyboard without needing to look. Bright orange at the bottom of my vision would annoy me no end.

Eh. I just have my standards. I kill the backlight on my G13 sometimes, just because that screen can get too offensive to my eyes in the dark.

It's the same way I can't understand these people who have a desk covered in bright LED's. Muted light; I can understand. When i'm exceptionally tired, or going for some of the lesser used function keys; I need a hint, but I don't need a keyboard capable of lighting up most of the house by itself.

    I lol'd :D :hehe:

Different strokes for different folks I suppose. Since I went mechanical I'm completely over the whole backlit keyboard thing, and my keyboard is only ever in my FOV 50% of the time when I'm typing because I keep the board on my lap for gaming and some typing. I keep it on the desk for work and sometimes for Internets, but mostly I'm still more comfortable with it on my lap after ~6 years of using it like that for gaming.

Also just want to add that despite my newfound love of mechanicals, I'm still happy enough typing on my Saitek Eclipses, big and clattery as they are :thumb:

I understand your point, and although I do like the orange I feel there's a bit much going on, it's ok though sir, for I should be trying zinc caps! :D

    Edit: I despise backlights.

You'd hate my G13 then. Rubber domes, RGB backlight, completely bindable. Annoyingly expensive.

    Also;

    One of these wee beasties.

And one of this horrifically expensive wonder.

Both. It's a shame, because its a wonder to use, but it shouldn't be £50! I could get another X6 for that!

I just need to see if I can't tweak the Coretemp G13 application to get it to show the RTSS output as well. CPU and GPU temps would be nice on that screen.

I hated the RAT7, found the profile to be too low and the thumb buttons weren't right for me. What do you think of it?

I dunno. I only ordered it fifteen minutes ago.

I'm used to low mice, I tend to palm-grip mice anyway, so I'll just lengthen that out to suit my hands then cry out in glee for a while as I use a mouse that won't randomly double-click both left and right buttons when pressed. (Yes. This current mouse is that borked.)

I'm also interested by the wireless. Plus the higher DPI. I'm getting tired of picking out the individual register points at 3200 DPI, even at low-sensitivities within games.

I also can't count the number of times i've had to stop and free the mouse cable from whatever i've just caught it on. This should be such a relief in comparison.

Well let us know what you think when you get it, the software for it does suck!

Also you should turn on one click in Windows 7, never double click again!

Can't suck anywhere near as bad as the software for my current mouse. It completely destroys the scroll wheel if I dare install it, so I've been running the thing without the drivers for the past year and a bit.

Good thing I never need to change out my Macros.

I will happily report back on how it handles, though. I fear i'm going to have some difficult adjusting to 6000DPI, though.

And who the balls put "Clunge Plungers" in the tags?!

Where? I've never found adorable plush turrets like that with voiceboxes, only ordinary plush turrets.
