Mine did last week. I factory reset after the install too, just to be safe. Sent from my GT-I9505 using Tapatalk
Can I ask why youve posted a thread about this? The reason I ask is mine updated 3 days ago and its running a lot worse ever since. Battery drains really quickly. Takes twice as long to charge. Phone runs very hot when the only thing running is facebook via browser. Im beginning to HATE android.
iOS I wouldnt know, never had one. My last phone was a Nokia N8 running Symbian. It had this neat feature were if you close an application it actually closed. This single feature meant my battery would last over 1 day. Honest o god.
android My main complaint is I cant find out whats hogging the cpu. Ive updated everything I use. Got a small list of apps I dont use so never update.
I had the SAME problem with the HTC One (m7) - now solved. Using 'Carat' from the play store I was able to see that my beloved app Photobucket was now no longer allowing Android to sleep. I also removed 7 other apps that were sucking the life from my phone. As an aside - if your phone is unlocked and well supported on Cyanogenmod I HIGHLY recommend moving to it. 1- you can use custom key mappers and 2 - no bloatware forced upon you and your battery.
Had the update couple of weeks now no problems at all. and I had another one a few days later Battery last three days on my Sony Xperia Z1
Back up everything then factory reset. Don't blame me for lost data. I've always done this from the really old 1.5 upgrades caused me issues back in the day. Never had any issues since doing resets after upgrades. Never heard of carat can't comment. Also if you go to settings, more, battery you can see what is hogging memory and resources that way. I had the same problem with my Galaxy S4. I had a good read around and what worked for me was going into application setting and uninstalling the updates for Google Play services. Now my phone is perfectly fine again - battery actually lasts longer than before I think.
s4 running hot Right, ive managed to track it down to the default web browser on the s4 on 3, it looks like an earth. Run this and I can smell the heat coming off my phone. Run chrome, which heats the phone up but not as bad. I tried Carat which flagged up iPlayer. So far thats all its found.
