I think it's us lol. I didn't realise that he bought the case (£20), motherboard (99p) and psu (£10) all from other users on ebay. This cracks me up because he sent me another message.

I don't think he knows how ebay works.
I wonder if I'll hear from him again?

One of them is also me for giggles too. As we've all said its not worth the money he's asking as he has his head in the clouds if he thinks it really worth the price.

Someone should send a message and ask to see if all booted up and working Bet you he can't !

I bet you he says yes it will. It never ceases to amaze me how people think they can get away with selling stuff like this, he's either thick or thinks that buyers don't know what they are buying. Its like those copy cat GTX 780 gfx card from China.

 

My theory, based on my subscription to the key principles of Occam's Razor, is that he is an unmitigated idiot.

Of course, the question is whether or not an equally qualified buffoon sees the listing and is seduced by the shiny...

 

I wouldn't even call the stuff he is selling shiny ! I've given better stuff away.

Good to know I can play DVDs with that DVD drive I don't have, but anything is possible when you have the drivers!

 

I've had a bit of a conversation with him about the listing. Needless to say his responses were well thought out, lol. References to my mother, age and sexual orientation mean I probably can't post them here.

 

I don't understand people like this, ok so you call me a homosexual, and tell me to go and make love to my mother, but why would I want to make love to my mother if I'm a homosexual ? the mind baffles.

 

I noticed a mobile number in the description - did you actually speak to him? Christ, I bet that was character building!

 

Just noticed the mobo has PCI-E, surprised a socket 478 would have PCI-E, would have thought it'd still be AGP.


Might have a go at pricing up the bits and pieces in it if I get bored at some point.
I know I've seen that LCD screen on ebay for about £10, DVD drive can't be worth more than £10, probably the most valuable bits in it apart from the Case.

The messages were getting interesting though. These are his last 3 messages after I pointed out that he was selling items that he bought off ebay for ~£100 more than he paid (case £20, PSU £10, motherboard £0.99). Complete and unedited.

What's he think he's going to be able to do with an IP address anyway. And if he's got the IP from the second message, why does he need to sniff it from the forum (is that even possible?), god knows who he'll be reporting you to and for what, .

There was a thread on Pistonheads a while ago, where someone linked to an ebay ad for some ruined reliant robin, the thread got 600 watchers on the item, twice, and they all kept sending silly messages, was very funny reading the responses and updates the seller was making to the item,
