So my boss asked me to look at his personal laptop tomorrow, he stated that he tried to send a large video file via his outlook to another email address.

Now he can receive emails but not send any, every time he starts outlook it shows "sending 1 of 1" but it stays this way.

I tried to talk with him over the phone to see if he could delete the email from his sent folder but it will not allow him as its still "sending".

I am not a outlook expert at all. Any ideas on what i can look at tomorrow to resolve this when i go see him.

I know he has windows 10 on his laptop and that is all i know about it so far.

Is his email account an exchange account? If so you will need to remove the large email from the exchange server.

It will be in the outbox not the sent folder.

    Disconnect the internet.
    Start outlook.
    Delete mail from outbox.

Not exactly appropriate in this case, but starting Outlook in safe mode by typing "outlook.exe /safe" into the run box has helped solve a fair few Outlook problems for me.

You just need outlook in offline mode.

Click on: file > work offline >

    *delete email*

    file> work online. Done
