Rocked up to work this morning (after two weeks out of the office) to find two shiny brand new Logitech MX Master mice waiting for me. Nearly fell over from the shock. :jawdrop:
They will go nicely with my two CM Quickfire TKs.

My wife's on her way home.

She had to make a very short notice trip back to The Netherlands as her aunt is not doing very well at all (she's had muscular dystrophy since 15, she's now 67, and is in hospital with pneumonia and the flu). Now she's back on the ferry and on her way here, just a drive from Harwich back up to Nottingham to go so she should be here by about midnight.

The frustration in my life is being blinded by the absolute happiness.

    I feel incredible.

    Winner.

    Oops wrong thread. Edit time:

Umm . . . my life is awesome because a whole bunch of wallpaper came off the ceiling tonight without needing hours of steam to come down. So the wallpaper part of my remodel is finally over.

Supposed to have a package uplifted yesterday which did not happen. After eventually getting hold odf someone and rebooking the collection I complained by email. to Parcels2Go.

Just had an email from Parcel2Go trying to be very clever by sending me a link to the streetview location of where the driver scanned the failed collection giving the implication that I was at fault.
Only one small fly in this the link was to an area half a mile from my address. So 1- 0 to me.

The hybrid-uitar lives! Well, mostly. Still need to route the truss rod slot, and get the fretboard attached.

110/90/75/56/48/40 string gauges (Ernie ball), so I guess it's a bass more than anything, but EMG 81 and 85 humbuckers, 18v wired, PA2, floyd rose & locking nut, neck made from a bit of old bannister, headstock from pen blanks and accidents, threaded inserts in the neck for the neck bolts rather than screwing into the wood. Fretboard will be purpleheart once I get it planed and I put the proper radius on it. Thinking of sticking with fretless tbh. When I get my head around the wiring for the LED's (Six white in the humbucker cavities) they should flash depending on output like a light organ.

It's a bit unique and a bit weird, but I think it looks cool and sounds cool.

    edit:

Okay, so it's out of tune, it's not pretty yet, and there's no truss rod or fret board. But damnit all if that hasn't been an interesting project so far! And who doesn't love flickering LED's?

    Excellent. It's about time.

Remember: don't go all 'Single White Female' and I find coming back here in two weeks that you're declaring you're madly in love and plan to move to Guatemala to be with her (or something like that).

On a totally unrelated matter.......I'm back.

Operation went well, and I'm whole again. Some post op anxiety aside, I'm doing OK.

That's great news. They say one of the most underrated things in life is sitting down and taking a good ****.

    They're wrong........so very wrong.

Imagine, if you will, a large intestine that hasn't been used for six months. It's forgotten what it does and needs to remember.

    Now think of the results..........
