TV Shows Robot Wars - IT'S BACK

There is some i would like to see return, Firestorm, Chaos, Hypnodisk, Big Brother ( the Kid could drive the robot these days) been the main 4.

Also some of the more fun teams to watch who were always useless but enjoyed been useless.

From about season 6 onwards of orginal show alot of the fun went out of the show.

 

I'd like to see a return of The Gauntlet as a starting round. It might encourage the 'weapon with a some wheels attached' designs to round out a bit more (and possibly up their reliability). It might also force some compromises in armour in favour of manoeuvrability, which would make for some more dynamic fights and more destruction.

He seems an alright bloke but I agree. I can think of a more appropriate gesture that's not too dissimilar.

Oh FFS I massively enjoyed the last two series. AND I PAY FOR THIS. £160? was it? a year? to watch Masterchef. Thanks BBC you forking DICKS.

 

If it was popular enough to work then another channel/service will no doubt pick it up/something very similar

Since Amazon have axed Clarkson they should replace the grand Tour with this.

The new seasons felt very different from the old but where still enjoyable. It shall be greatly missed

Cancelled ? Really ? Sucks why do the BBC pull the chain on some their best shows ?

 

Because it's a company with guaranteed funding run by a cabal of parochial old white men who fear the unfamiliar?

 

Because it's skint, constantly threatened with budget cuts [also paying their male presenters too much] and didn't make Robot Wars in the first place. The beeb does next to **** all in-house, hasn't for years.

Also it's an Olympics/World Cup year so the probably spunked what little spare budget they had away on that as per.

 

So the old white buggers mis-manage the budget too, noted.

 

Good news, sort of- Battle Bots has been renewed for a 3rd season ( revival ), and the Chinese 'King of Bots' competition has just finished it's 1st season.

mostly in Chinese but there are English and American teams- the main UK robot is Spectre; an amazing crusher that looks like Razer and Warhead had a lovechild with a Velociraptor and a hydraulic system, it's just amazing.
