Re-arranged my lounge earlier. It's the kind of job that's absolute hell to do but incredibly satisfying when finished. Plus I now have my sofa WAY closer to the TV so I get to appreciate the benefits of all those inches.

The cat that was so stressed she threw up after I carried her is currently sharing the office chair with me and snoring loudly. It's only taken a year.

    Amazon returns

had another corsair product go pop, honestly I've not had a product off them that hasn't **** the bed and needed to be sent back, their RMA and ******** warranty are also dogshit levels of pain so I'm genuinely not looking forward to it, on the off chance I thought lets prod amazon, worse case scenario they say no and I'm back to square one, sure enough he recommends I speak to corsair and after telling him of my plight and how corsair have ****ed me over time again he just sends out a new one and tells me to send back the fubar unit by the 15th. it arrives tomorrow and because its a new product not a corsair RMA (i think) it gets a new 2 year warranty.

Managed to book a flu jab. This is a relief, given Christmas last year was ruined because they refused to give me the jab.

PS4's reached the requisite 'I'll buy that for a dollar' price.

Which means I finally started the FF VII Remake.

Despite being different in style, I'm having fun. It's not quite the same as the Halo 2 remaster (Which, IMO, is the gold standard of remastering), but damn is it good.

I also grabbed the 'boy' game with a grumpy old shirtless man. Not sure how much of that I'll faff with, it'd be my first GoW game that I can remember.

Apparently we are only finding about this after the fact but, our little house is one of the lucky few in our village / town to be part of the current Fibre roll out by Truespeed under the connecting Somerset and Devon contract.

Just got to deal with a few more weeks of absolute bedlam as they dig trenches through pavements & roads all over the place and then can, in theory at least, enjoy up to 900/900 speeds.. :)

All the while the Truespeed website just states that we should register interest when checking our postcode... :hehe:

I got the "Register your interest" leaflet through the door from Sky (my ISP) 2 weeks AFTER the OpenReach guy installed my FTTP.
Sky had previously sent me their latest FTTP-compatible router, so I was already up & running.
Currently on 145/35 because it was only £5/month more than I was paying for 37/7.

I'm getting a second Sky router delivered today because that first one went into a reboot loop the other day (a known fault that Sky don't acknowledge).
When you tell their helpdesk "reboot loop", they just sigh and post out a new router.

It's not that bad at all. Mrs Crap passed it despite having sprained her ankle the week before. get a bleep test app and practice a few runs, only have to get to level 6 or something like that.

I had to rebook train tickets for next weekend. Instead of changes on my return I have a direct train. Also I booked a hotel months ago. It's now sold out and I saved hundreds by booking in advance.
