Working on a carputer and found a digital photo frame to use as a monitor. The power seems straight forward but the input is difficult. Is there a way to adapt the cable to a vga end. Unless you know the pin-outs, that is going to be very very difficult. Check out the laptop LCD thread which you should find in the stickies, it will give you an idea of how difficult this may be. Laz
That does indeed look tricky. I was thinking IDE ribbon cable, not that tiny thing. Just making the contact connections looks daunting, let along finding the pinout. As von lazuli said, check the guide stickies in modding for LCD info. You can also try pinouts.ru for pinouts, though I'm not sure what luck you'll have with that unless it's pretty standard. Let us know how it goes and good luck... oh yeah, and welcome to bit-tech!
Thanks for all the help - here are the pinouts for vga and my lcd. I don't see the corresponding connections. Am I missing something?
