    I'm not sure I understand why regional TLDs are needed when we already have country TLDs. I can only see big companies registering .asia domains as portals to country-specific sites.

    You'll need to open a small software company so you can claim the domain, sell copies of linux with 0.5point fonts.

    corporations with a 'prior art'-esque claim to domains will always get first refusal when a new TLD is introduced. sorry :p
