Thats sweet, but I think it would look even nicer if you painted the metal parts and rivets black like in the rendering.

Incredibly well done case. Which actually made me smile, cause it looked a bit funny and weird.

Yeah, you definately should do as rool said.

With all the Lan Parties I've been at with this computer, I accidently tell people that this is a Snap-On Toolbox :wallbash: . This is a Stack-On Toolbox which the company was created about 50 years after Snap-On was founded. Whether Stack-On is a play on the Snap-On brand name, Stack-On is still around after Thirty-Three years without any name conflicts with Snap-On that I know of.

Well my case is officially for sale now on ebay

Ebay Auction: Project Stack-On LAN Box

Starting price reflects the actual cost of the box itself and materials, so whatever is paid above that will reflect what the amount of time I spent on assembly is worth. If this project sells I will see if the next person will continue to update this log or if the box does not sell I will continue to post continual work on this project.

so, you mean to tell me, if you DONT press buy it now and just bid, you only get the cd drives, and that lot, if so your really pushing it, i HIGHLY doubt, someone will be willing to pay £4,500 for it, if it were SLi, maybe. i thought it was £1500, for the entire lot, not just the cd drives, lcd and that lot

good luck trying to sell it

  12. $1500 & $4500 - It's dollars mate

    Still too much in IMO.

PS. Did you really overclock that 3000+ to 3ghz on 3-8-4-4 value ram???

good luck anyhow, t'was a nice 'puter

i think charl3s_fatal1ty meant 3ghz, not 3000+, as in did he overclock the processor from whatever is stock to 3ghz

sorry, i didnt mean to press £, i knew it was dollars, but its natural for me to press £ instead of $

I wish you the best of luck in selling this awesome case. Unfortunately, past experience has shown that even the best casemods struggle to sell for a break-even parts only price, nevermind compensating for the hundreds of hours spent on them.

One of our own H&D2 Ammo Shuttles, given away as a prize in a competition, was eBayed by the winner and made just £700 - less than the parts were worth retail, ignoring the fact it was a Macroman Original. The buyer recently attempted to resell it again on eBay, obviously hoping to profit, but it failed to attract a bid.

I guess in this respect, modding is not unlike other art / sculpture...

I'm not sure if anyone has tried selling an Athlon 64 processor on ebay but it really is wierd how they have it set up right now to describe processor speed. I do know its only 2.0 Ghz clock speed but ebay just does not have the correct options to account for everything. I mean I had to put in under the Athlon XP category just because they only have three options of Athlon XP, Pentium IV, and other. No this computer was never overclocked so no excecive strain was put on the hardware. But anyway yes the $4500 is quite a bit and I don't expect any normal joe to pay that much, but the normal joe market is not who this case is for right now. I just can't accept anything less than the $1400 I put into just the case because everything was custom laser cut and anodized which is expensive to have done. But like I said if no one buys it then I'll just keep it around.

no offense, but 4500 for this is silly....

you put in 1400 and you want 3100 only for your work?! Yes, that case is pretty, but not enough for 3100 bucks imho... Just my two cents..

sorry if i came over wrong

    i love your mod

although $3100 for just labour is ALOT, i'd say more like $2500 max, *(not $2500 for labour, $2500 for the entire lot)*

sorry if i said things wrong, have troubly saying what i want to say!
