    Where can I find a guide to connect a Matrix Orbital LCD to a serial cable. I want to order an LCD from www.jameco.com.

    it takes more than a serial cable to get a display to work. For one thing, any display you would buy and wire yourself wont be serial unless you get a serial backpack board to convert the parrllel (sp) interface to a serial one. If you want it to be serial then definitly get a matrix orbital display. If you want to wire it yourself, it has to be parallel (sp).
