Well the only problem with that is you either make a mess of your pocket or somewhat lose the scrolling functions of the click wheel. And Apple's marketing department comes after you and beats you to death, and when people ask why they pull the thing out of your pocket, show it's still working and end up selling another fifty.

I'd rather like a nano, but I need the space; I guess the Gen5's (if that's officially the name) are a good bit thinner and still have 50% more space, so that'll likely be my weapon of choice if they're ever in stock locally.

I dunno, everyones all about speed, but i've spent the past 2 weeks living almost exclusively on a 12" 500 Mhz ibook, with relatively no problems.

Anyways, i use Opera for web.

Also, how can anyone consider these things good for video editing? It can barely play movies.

iBook is not good for video editing, and they updated it little from the version you got. ;) Now iBooks have a CPU double the performance of what you're running.

The Power Macs with dual G5 CPU are animals. And now G5 dual core dual CPU configuration is out, that thing is a beast. Those things would be great for video editing.

Is this "look at the sweet picture" or "someone shot an apple"?

Gogo 133*100px images. Those are almost avatar sized!

(What exactly was the point of those, J-Pepper?)

*off topic* Heh. That's Doc Edgerton for ya. He worked at MIT for a LONG time. Anyone seen the one with the banana? Or the milk-drop? My dad worked with him, and I think we have some old flashes of his in the basement... *back on topic* I really really really want a mac, but we are PC only. Damn. *digs through his pile o'junk* Hey, guess what? I just found a copy of 10.2! And a copy of 10.3! And according to this note... *squints* Oh yeah, my neighbor is going to give me his iMac with 10.4 on it soon. Yay.

right, ive got my 1.8ghz (single) G5 with 256mb ram (just waiting for the other 1gb to come in the mail) 80gb HDD, 64mb nVIDIA GeForce FX5200, MacOSX 10.4.3 (which ive skinned to a lovely black and blue theme using shapeshifter), and a 4" ice blue CCFL.

this is currently my only computer that works...... i had a cobbled together PC for a little while but the PSU died... i used it for linux and as a small file server. but this is a mac thread, not pc....so...
i got my g5 for x'mas 04 ......and im JUST NOW getting to upgrading to another 1gb ram... that measly 256 just wont cut it. i seriously have to do hard restarts 4-5 times a day because i have so little ram :duh: ..... took me this long to convince my mom to let me get the gig extra.... (im 16 with no job *yet*) im still trying to find out if i can use a dual procssor card from another g5 in mine.... *ponders*
    anyways enough yacking from me.

EDIT: Almost forgot! i didnt take a picture, but i also have a video ipod. the batteries are dead in my camera, so.... (just had enough juice for those g5 pics......barely...)

My new Powerbook. Due to being a jammy b*****d and PC World screwing me around, I ended up getting a Powerbook instead of an iBook for the insurance replacement of the one that was stolen. I had to pay £100 difference

Admittedly the iBook box is empty, but I think it makes for a cool picture.
