    now ive got my new computer up and going. but the drivers that came with the 7800GT dont have a overclocking utility(or i just cant ind it) please help, thnaks

    Download nvturbo and the "change clock frequency" option will show up under advanced features where you find temperatures and color correcting options.

    p.s. About to overclock mine too so post what you get and I'll try to beat you. We can have a mini competetion lol

    Rivatuner is a slghtly better option imo, it gives a little more control over settings, you can force a clock etc
    Each unto their own though :D

    never been much of a 3DMarker, but I'm clocked at 555/1220 at the moment, ran it a while ago and got just over 9000 at 550/1200 iirc

    by the way, you need to run 3Dmark at 1024x768 (and everything else default settings) for it to mean anything ;)

    You should be doing it on official nVidia drivers as well, not "tweaked" ones
    With some time I'm sure I could get over 10k ;)

    I only hit 8111 overclocked to I forgot what. I need to futz with it some more and I should break 9000. When I get my new cooler for my cpu that'll be at 2.6ghz (2.0 stock) Whitch should boost my scores signifigantly
