I signed up just for this thread I'm on a highschool robotics team and I do a lot of metal work and I have to say that this is the most impressive CNC work that I have ever seen I can't imagine how long it took to CAD all that up a ha I just figured out why you made the cold cathode holders like you did that should look amazing I can't wait to see some pictures with them running actually if I'm right they will serve a dual purpose and could well be the most awesome part of the case so far
I know that you'll tell us when you're ready but I'm curious as to what you intend to do with the internals case at the top. Do you plan on having enclosed sides (metal or acrylic) or just leave it open? Either way I'm curious to see how you do your wire management. I'm assuming it will extensively use CNC'd alluminium restraining blocks. That black really suits the case. Well done.
I reckon G69T has already been approached by the major hardware vendors, and if not then someone is really not doing their job right (on the h/w vendors side). It is simply a work of art, at once inspiring and shaming.
I can tell you from personal experience in building Heavy Metal that the cost of this project would be in the many 10's of thousands of dollars for someone contracting it. The materials are not the big cost here, it's all labor. It is an incredible example of skill and craftsmanship.
Damn nice dude!! Just signed up for this projects sake. Wonderful!!! I have not seen near such beautiful craftsmanship made by anyone or even not any manufacturer ever!! You really are the god of crafting! Really good work! Read through this thread (well, read as in looked at your pictures of the process) and I must say superb all the way. I was stunned at the sight of every step forward... until just now when you coated the swordblades in that dull grey color... I am sad to say that it was actually a slight disappointment. Personally I think you should have let them stay in the polished aluminum look. Chrome would not have been so bad either... But dull grey? IMHO, no no no... But I must say, still the most beautiful piece of art I have ever layed my eyes on. Keep it up!!
Thanks all guys, your comments are important for me! The swords are anodizated only. In a second time, I would want to create all the swords in stainless steel (AISI). He's really a good friend, and no mistake... Thank you thriteenthmonkey for your bit-tech forum signed and compliments for your robotics team. Surprise!!
I thought to an acrylic and aluminium mix. The acrylic panels for the left and right side of the case with some aluminium details. Grazie! ====== Thank you Jolle187 for your bit-tech forum signed and your comment! -------------------------------------------------------------- I've done it today with my CNC milling hands, it's for my baby! See you soon - work in progress: The rear side of the case! Bye bye
This is the project of the case rear panel. Only two images of the not final project of the panel. Bye bye
this mod is ending and i dont want it to end why? cuz then i wont see more impressive stuff for a long time....
Thank you It's soon.. Thank you, Mayo Those are the blocks holes for IN and OUT liquid between case and the water station. Zoom!
