Nice one mookboy, I'm currently saving for a nitro car (in the £250 price range) but my question is, shall I get on or off road? Around the back of my house there is quite alot of uneven ground, so my best bet would be an off road car I suppose but I love the looks of on-road cars EDIT: I spy an Xbox 360
I bought this from the model shop in Skeggy, just as a starter kit. It goes like the brass clappers! I've even flipped it and now there's a nice scuff across the roof. Haven't used it much recently though, not as often as I'd like to, anyway.

It's Kyosho. I was the same as you, I didn't really fancy a buggy or a chunky 4x4. The rated speed at stock is 30mph and I can believe it!
I figured it was better to dig up the old thread rather than start a new one. So, after many months of not having my truck, I finally got it back It's crap, I know, but it works, and doesn't look too bad, does it? Anyway, my truck is a modified version of this . I took off the wing, roll-bar, and front bumper. Looks much better now than it did before. And why do I like such a piece? Well, it does flips and things. It's a video of me just wasting the battery in it.
Had a Tamiya falcon for a while - until I botched making a custom charger and killed the batt for it. Decided to pack it in. One day i'll buy myself a nitro-powered helicopter and spend a horrendous amount of money crashing it into stuff...
HPI Sprint 2. Got it 2nd hand without electrics. Never been used outside, and you can tell Added a few bits, and now its up and running. Apparently, I'm mental for going 11 turn
are those t-27 tires i used to race battery cars inside, had loads of schumacher cars, SSt 98, SST 99, AXIS pro, all full carbon fibre. and 11 turns, pah, i had a 9 turn man although i've since retired i have most of my gear apart from batteries which i sold as they are the only bits really that will be of no use if i ever start up again as there will be better ones out. also have a Kyosho buggy thats pretty neat although its nearly as old as me
Pfft, nah, this is so much more fun Sliiiiiiiiiiidde. I've still got my SST98 Chassis here. Carbon Fibre lovelyness, trying to sell. 9 Turns yes!
Nice cars all. I wish my Savage was as clean as yours Sputnik, but I can tell you now, you are going to love that truck! They are practically indestructable and handle amazing. If anyone is intrested in a project truck, give me a shout as I have a .21 T-Maxx in bits here waiting for someone to finish it off.
I can see by the design and construction that it looks pretty tough. I haven't jumped it off rocks or ramped over dumpsters (like they show in the DVD), I'm far to scared to try. It isn't too clean at the moment, I've kinda been slacking on the cleanliness. I hate the way the oil from the exhaust mixes with the dust and creates a sludge. The engine looks cleaner that the rest of the car as I took it out to replace a few screws and cleaned it thoroughly while it was out. I'm thinking of taking a pipe from the exhaust so that it exits out the rear of the car. Here's a photo merely for the size comparison, man, this thing is huge! 100th post, woot! Sputnik
I've had it for a month. I'm very ashamed of myself. This weekend I'm going to give it a good clean. I want to buy an air compressor so that I can blast the dust out in those hard-to-reach-areas directly after a drive. Sputnik
Just come in from a very fun time with car. Its been a while since i've had a car working so well, its slightly damp out, but not enough for a spray. 11t motor + damp = powerslides! So bloody fun!
I paid ZAR6 500, which is equivalent to US$1 000. But be warned, this thing rattles itself to pieces, so before each ride, check ALL screws and bolts as you'll just be spending money every weekend buying new nuts and bolts. Sputnik
