thought the original icemat looked kinda boring so this is the result of the engraving i did .. a bit nicer with a motive.. hard to get a real closeup .. the mat it self is "blurry".. the back of the mat is black painted original as a protective layer ..
thats nice, can you get me a close up ? and also does it affect your mouse doing that ? Doing something will just be perfect for the new project im thinking about Tom
closeup comming up .. half speed on the dremel .. and diamond bits .. and no it dont affect the mouse in anyway .. its becomes like the white icemats .. works sweet ..
Well, thats quiet obvious. The colored icemats are normal white ones, but they're painted on one side When you engrave them, you just remove the paint
well not really .. if there was no paint what do you remove then? then its not engraving .. engraving you "scratch" the surface to get a pattern in the surface that can become nice effects depending on the material .. aprox 0,8mm - 1mm i usually engrave in to the material in glas, plexi its up to 75%of the material depending on the effect i want .. metall 0,2mm-0,5mm depending on effect.. so scratch the paint sure in a way, if there is paint .. but to say its that is engraving is wrong .
I done some engraving my self, but i got no clue how deep i engraved into the material. Here are the latest engraving i did, are this one approved? http://www.diskusjon.no/index.php?act=Attach&type=post&id=55592 I dont got all the pic's thats like only 40% of the engravings on the shroud
Thansk, I just need a place to upload some pictures then i can post the whole worklog here So when are the pics or the number of the bits coming then? Edit: here are the worklog any comments?
