Hi, i wonder if there is anyone that has succeeded with changing the leds in a razer mouse..and if u think that the mouse will function as it should when u change them 2 white ones? // SnOof
i know you can with the cheaper microsoft mice but the diamond is a much more accurate one is it not. so you might notice a difference. you can always put the old leds back if its no good. so its worth a shot
yea, but if i put a led that has about the same lightforce as the original, wouldnt inte work as it should then?
If you put a LED of the same brightness and wavelength (colour) It'll act the same otherwise no. The sensor is more sensative to certain wavelengths of light, I think I have a memory about amber being the best for some mice and blue being pretty weak (so you have to ramp up the brightness to get the same responsiveness) You can try white however I'd say it was a fair bet that you would need a pretty bright white for it to work anywhere near its optimal resolution.
want 2 change it because i wonder how it would look with white leds insted of red one + that i want 2 be special
....Doesnt the Diamondbcak come in a bunch of different colours, each with coloured LED's shining through the see-thru case?
Some people say it doesn't change the responsiveness at all, but some people say it does. If you game a lot, i would say that it might affect it, but then I haven't tried it so I don't know. i would advise trying it on a cheapo mouse first, though.
yea, i would if i had another optical mouse , but if it is as darkinferno said wouldnt a white led with 7000 mcd brightnessfactor due?
Well, you can get el cheapo mice to test it on, but if you are willing to try it first on your Razer, then go ahead. If it messes up, then you can always change it back.
yea, i thought so 2. If the mouse dont respond as it should i´ll change back 2 normal. I also wonder if the chip can burn up if u change the led? How many mcd do u think the original led has?
A quick google turned up loads of guides for doing this, this one (hope link is ok dont want to get warning) http://www.extrememhz.com/mouseled1.shtml uses blue, but they recommend super high density 5500MCD LEDs so i guess your 7000MCD might be ok or even overly bright and cause issues because it blinds the mouse
Have a search of the web, and when you start the mod, take pics and post them here please? I wana see?
okay, but a 7000 mcd would be good then?..not 2 bright and not 2 weak?..btw, can the mouse burn up if i change the leds?
