Modding Methods of installing 90degree molex connectors

    How the hell do you get the damn cable to tear when you pop it in? These things really **** me off! WTF do I do!!!!!

    Never used them but I guess you just grab the wirein both hands about a centimeter apart and push the cable into the connectoru, the metal should then (in theory) just thru the plastic and touch the core.

    As I said, I have never used them tho.

    Yea, it is a little bit harder than that. The damn rubber around the wire is a lot thicker than we think I guess.

    I just jammed some wires using some needle nosed pliers, I guess I'll power up the PSU and give it a shot.

    They're like a giant version of phone socket connectors, so I guess a bigger version of the tool should be used, or a blunt screwdriver. ;)

    Have the same type of connector on my ADSL line.

    Just jam it in real hard, it wont look any different but it will work.

    I felt like a proper noob using them at first, took me about 5min to figure out there were little blades at the bottom. They were very small and hidden :worried: .

    interesting, i have an XT PSU with those connectors. i will have a look and see if i can figure something out.

    what you did with the pliers appears to be what has been done to the ones i have. it should work.

    Hummmmmmmmmm the modding possabilities of them :eeek: no more 8 wires coming out of every molex :D
