Possibly the dye used? Any metho used in the loop? Only other thing I could think of is overtightening but generally these are more likely to be some kind of reaction. Bad luck man Anything damaged from it? To he honest I really doubt the safety of using only zip-ties for fastening hoses. A lot of people have no issues with it but I always like to use worm-drive stainless steel clamps Good work on getting those dual loops going and getting it all put together. ---dens
its possible the extra weight of the tube has just broken the acrylic ... maybe better support / less tight tubing runs would be better
nice stuff! and yea tubing torque cracked my plexi res threads too, it happens! nice work, but you should consider (not red, but) a different or slightly differnt color for hte other loop. its a nice effect.
The red looked like rust after you drained it. I would say there was something in your loop maybe alchohol? It cracks plastic and reacts with other things. But most likely you over tightened or to much strain on them.

You mean... By using the two different colours you can see where each loop goes? and yes I actually liked the different coloured loops, even if it was an accident or more a teltale that something was wrong.
Or replacing the piece with fittings with thicker acrylic, or another layer of the thinner stuff. Should increase durability and decrease torque.
