Ati for the win dude. Nice cards and for 200 bucks you can buy a nice one. The X1950 Pro would be the best choice. Here is a link: http://www.overclockers.co.uk/acatalog/X1950_Series.html Good luck with choosing your GPU.
2nded. Good cards, and I prefer the driver setup, much nicer. ATi lost me when they got rid of the classic control panel.
Hmm...I'd say x1900xt 256mb if you don't care about fancy driver features other then auto-overclocking, and don't mind low amounts of linux support. If drivers and linux are important to you go with the GTO.
Thanks peeps. Was already considering the GTO or 7950 anyway just wanted to get the gut feeling from people as it's always better to seek advice than blow money on the wrong thing.
Another vote for the GTO. Drivers are what drives the thing to success. If the drivers were not very good, then it wouldn't be able to render as many frames as if they were better [drivers], they are also bug creators and menders . So you don't really have a choice whether it is "important" to you or not (because it is..). Edit: Good idea Mankz_91 about the low end DX 10 cards.. but I think you will be waiting quite a while before you see these cards (well into 2007..) Ed
I didn't mean that they didn't perform well, they just don't have as many features as the nVidia drivers, and I don't use the official drivers anyway, the Omega drivers for ATI(unofficial) work much better and have lots of great features, although my frame-rate wasn't increased by using one over the other.
