Sounds about right. And in any case, leetspeak is hardly a code, you just can't look too closely (ie, look for shapes, not letters, and it's easy to read - I can go a whole paragraph of solid l33t without tripping up as long as I think that way). It's the insane quantity of stupid abbreviations, mostly in chats, that can get hard to figure out, which is NOT leetspeak. I love how they were accidentally right about its history. AFAIK, the first known use was a virus communicating over port 31337, which I think may have been named the elite virus or something (first part I'm sure, second is speculation). the only reason I started usings certain short forms of words and such was for things like counter strike beause I didn't have mic at the time.. now When I am talking online sure I will use the odd things like lol or wtf.. but I am certainly not about to start using some of the short forms that were in that video.. did you read some of them.. lrf was little rubber feet or something like how does that even come up in conversation.
