    So, whats your favourite "in game" music?
    Is it the battle hardend beat of HM2 from Red Alert 2, or is it the chessy tune from The Sims?
    Well, i shall start the show, get it on the road, and its a tough choice for me, i know one thing, its from Command and Conquer, but do i chose one particular song, or just chose the entire lot, well after considerable amounts of thinking (which caused a headache) i decided to settle for the entire Command and Conquer soundtrack.

    My favourite in game music is in NFS Underground 2. I think it is called Black Betty.

    I've always liked the somewhat drumb & bass music in HL2 ^^.

    The Halo games have some fantastically emotive orchestral pieces.

    And ditto Half-Life's stuff. If you don't get paranoid when that spaced-out ambient music is looping and you're running nervously down empty corridors then there's something wrong with you

    Besides the Halo Series, Donkey Kong Country Series, when ever I listen to mp3 rips of them brings back many memories. Also Banjo Kazooie series had some good music.

    I prefered the music from quake 2 but good call non the less :rock:

    My favourite though has got to be the music from FFVII, absolutely brilliant! Nobuo Uematsu sure knows how to write a score!

    NFS: Carbon theme song thing, if you ever listen to it fully and not just game clips with the other noises it is some kickass techno! :rock:

    I have the Quake 2 & 3, McGee's Alice, HL2, Splinter Cell : CT and Halo 2 soundtracks :D All are awesome, some are better than others. /Rhetorical Fanboi: Streets of Rage is still the best. Yuzo Kashiro is a king.

    the original is the best, most of the song on there are covers, riders of the storm (i think thats what its called.)

    I love the Splinter cell: Double Agent OST, very cool and downloadable for free!
    The SP: Chaos Theory OST by Amon tobine is pretty cool, too.

    The Quake 2 soundtrack(still not 100% sure who did that, some say NIN, some say another band I can't recall the name off) and the HL2 DnB is great. Amon Tobins splinter cell album is fairly good. Probably my favourite just because of the memories though is the deus ex soundtrack.

    The Deus Ex OST actuall resides within the installed game files. I don't recall the filetype, but it's an unencrypted obscure audiofile type. Foobar2000 got on with playing them without complaint. Who did the double agent OST?

    Best game music has to be the Silent Hill series, Akira Yamaoka is genius.

    Silent Hill 4 is priobably the best, but Silent Hill 2 gets special mention ;)
