(mods)Not to sure were to put this, so please move if you think relevant. Guys, Im looking for a good C++ book, im studying it at uni, and feel a reference book would be good. However I dont want a tutorial, Just a dip in for quick help sort of book with lots of examples. Any ideas people? cheers
I know this isn't a book, and won't contain any help but have you tried Google code search? Might be useful in finding lots of ways to do one thing etc.
C++ Primer Plus is a pretty good book for beginners. It's a 1000+ pages, but it covers a lot of material.
If you know how to program, then you can't beat Stroustrup's "The C++ Programming Language". http://www.amazon.co.uk/C++-Program...ef=sr_1_2/203-0268816-0153514?ie=UTF8&s=books As the reviews show there are a few people who don't get on with it, so I'd recommend having a look around the university library and finding one you like.
