Small update to finish the work from today. After cleaning the mod place. I have some time left to fix the led’s in de cover plate.

    And on his place

No wire to see under the feet. Only those from the psu what’s give the led’s power.

It’s hard to make a right photo from the led’s in the dark.

When one led is not working, than it’s time to stop. That one I fix tomorrow.

    See you soon.

Point of View send me the graphic cards with the right PCB for this mod. Black.

    Put the block on it.

The rest of the evening I needed for the side panel. The frame for the hard disk cooler was a little problem. But it fits well now.

Also some publicity for Point of View.

And the grey reservoir in the front. Was red before.

    See you soon.

They came straight from the manufacturer.. I guess they can kinda check/know what colored cards they send :)

It's been ages since I last checked on this project and I must say, damn you work fast :hehe:

The white Lian Li was and is something you have to get used to, but after a while it doesn't seem that bad at all. At least with the CF giving it contrast which turned out quite nice, quite nice indeed :thumb:

On a different subject, has anyone wondered why GPU manufacturers use those gremlins and goblins on the cover of their products also anime characters are used. Why on earth would anyone like to have any of these things taped on their card or even on the box, grow up would you :D

Anyways, I'll have to check back more often so that I won't have to read 10 pages of updates next time and I'm sure I will, this is a great project, 5 stars coming from me...

Okay, I know this is double posting, but guys, same applies here than it did in the Dark Rain thread.

The question is, why does this project have only 4 stars? Now get off your butts and do the right thing :hehe:

I noticed the same thing and had just time to give teh stars before you posted the second post :D Good timing.

And what should there in your opinion be in the VGA-card packages? Some abstract thingadillys or maybe just plain brown box ála Thermalright?

Little off topic, but why not something sleek and stylish like the company logo on a picture of say perforated metal sheet or something like that, damn I hate those green little buggers :hehe:

Asus motherboard packages have been quite stylish and the same goes with the Inno3D iChill 7900GS card packaging (on the front site of bit-tech). It seems that we are going it a better direction :thumb:

I'd say that even AMD's Ruby is acceptable, but again, I'd still much rather live without it on my card (all glory to 3rd party cooling bits :D).

    Just my 0,02$

Whoops I didn't kinda think a packet could actually be informative or sleek! And now that I think about it, I don't like the green buggers either... Cyborg women are better, you really have a point there.

EDIT: Lets now end this thread-hijack and make a "what would you like to see in the side of a package"-thread to the hardware-forum?

This is indeed a very cool mod! I like how the hard-drive bays seems to be flying in plain air.

I've painted all my cases black or dark grey ... you made me think twice for the next one :D

Great contrast :thumb: love the tubing. Can you tell me where did you get it?

About the green light at the bottom. I can be short. I make this case for Point of View and the standard colour from Point of View is green. So that’s the reason the led’s green. ;)

Today after my work I start with the 2 side panels.

It’s easy to saw wit with a machine like this. But when you go to fast it destroys also the plexi.

    One on this side.

Also cutting the last peaces of carbon

The are for the case fans.

The last saw job for today the 8 mm plexi for the double bottom.

It was a little too big.

    But it fits now.

Also enough space for the led’s

And some fine work to do.

    See you soon.. ;)

If they SEND it for you, you don't BUY it and pay for it, then most likely yes. If you're just gonna buy a 8800GTX, you'll most likely not be able to select the color. Sponsorship rules.

Maybe already going a bit over with the carbon fibres inside in my opinion, but sweet work again. This is definitely my favorite of the project logs in progress ATM :thumb:

@Jipa, the name for the case is carbon li. So the outside is Lian Li. The inside is real carbon. So if you think it’s going over a bit. I understand that. ;)

    @Computerking, thanks.
