Dewalt drivers here is just for testing, i got two brand new dc988 waiting to go in there. Your comments are welcome.
Brilliant!!! I love the way you're using the drill motors... simple genius. I've forwarded this to a machinist friend of mine who's built a 1/4 scale dual barrel machine gun that fires .22 caliber bullets... he'll get a kick out of this.
weeeeeeeeeeeeeee package arrived today from Tente. the package. 34 wheels. 125mm wide. (5") this is how their gonna sit on the tank, with the chain going in between.
wowowow !! I think this will be kick ass !!! Omg this nice idea !! man this can be kick ass tank !! I will keep follow this !! man If you done this maybe this will be the best idea to move my computer !!
How about mounting a webcam on it and use some head-tracking software to turn the turret and barrel to let it point to anyone passing? Will definately freak people out, a tank barrel following your movement poiting to your head
Or use the thing that another user on the forums has cooked up.. http://forums.bit-tech.net/showthread.php?t=121747 Homepage with software and controller box http://www.endurance-rc.com/ Basically control your car with your PC + webcam output.. On another note, check out http://www.rctankcombat.com/articles/ And if you are working in plywood, i'd suggest covering it in fibreglass. Otherwise it goes poof, fast.
where is this? It looks like you're building this thing in an apartment or house. Is part 2 of the log going to be "how to get a six foot model tank out of your living room?"
LOL.... not a problem. the tank is going to be 64cm wide (25" inches) and my doors are 66cm (26" inches) The wood boards got in there with no problems. their 122 x 244 cm (48" x 96" inches)
