No, English and Arabic aren't comparable... In 90% of the worlds countries English is heard (Movies, TV, music,...), Arabic however isn't that spread around. English is a worldwide used language, Arabic isn't. I'm a non native English speaking person (Mother language is Dutch, which is quite different then English, and from what foreigners tell me quite difficult to master) and I think I make half decent posts.

CK shouldn't be patronised that much IMHO, he's a member of this forum for about a year now. He CAN type some decent English if he wants to, he has proven it. However, most of his posts make no sense at all, call it impulsive behaviour, call it being "in touch with your emotional side", call it whatever you want. I can live with a "Damn, I feel down" thread now and then, just don't go overboard. Then I go into 'grumpy mode' and I say: Bit tech is a PC forum, if you want to be over emotional, take it elsewhere... Blogs are great for that, don't clutter this place please. In life everything has a place and time, and this isn't the place for that". A lot of threads leave me with a "grow up" feeling. Ok, probably this is a cultural difference between us, but you have to put things in their perspective, PC != emotions.

I read CKs posts often, and sorry to say so, but often they are trash. Bit-tech has a good standard of grammar and spelling. When I came here, I made a lot more mistakes too, but I learned from them. I improved my 'writing skills', I grew the habit of re-reading my posts, I use Firefox spelling control. CK even made a thread about that, he got good hints from fellow members, he improved his post quality some days, but only for a short while, and then it all went down the drain again.

So, to summarize, CK, do as told in the other thread, read up in some QUALITY English, put some more effort in your threads/posts (reread, grammar/spelling), behave less emotional... And you'll get a lot less negative comments towards you.

And yes, I still love you

 

CK, I can suggest some very good grammar books for you depending on your current skill level. If you ever need any help expressing yourself then just drop me a PM. The english language is my passion and main love in life, so anything I can do to make it easier for you is great.

Never thought I'ld hear myself say this but I got ya back CK! I know you're a pain at times but you're no-where near as bad as this timewaster is making you out to be.
Yeah, well 'that' person is now being a pain in my rearend at Vw! he/she really doesn't like computerking and is giving me a headache, I have better things to do than to put up with someone like that.

No offence but i used to just think you were just a spammer and it pi*ssed me off. But now i really don't mind you. At least your polite and are making the effort to try and speak another language.

 

Just ignore whoever is sending the messages. They're just being an immature waste of space. As for you CK, you've got a lot better than you used to be, what with getting better at english, and generally being more understandable. Keep trying and just ignore f***wits like that...

 

well the PM and Email is a bit extreme, but i personally don't really like pointless "holy crap! it's great" sort of replies. nice, constructed and thoughtful reply may make people feel warmer rather than an empty good luck.

for example, someone did a case mod, don't reply stuff such as "wow, that's great work. well done". reply with thoughts and comment on the mod: "nice work, i like the way {insert stuff here} and if you {do whatever} it'd make it look even more godlike, imho"

Funny how im saying this, as im the worlds worst speller, but both of us should spend more time on spelling. I think when people look at poor speling they might think that we don't care about their project enough to even spill thaings raght(jkjk) lol, also, comment maybe more on the update itself rather then the project? example: wowow so kickass how you bent that tower tribal i wish i could do that! instead of wowowo so kickass tribal your amazing. you know what i mean?

but on another note, im not sure why someone would send you that! i mean, maybe they could ask to keep the spam down a little, but they didnt' have to be so cruel and include examples! wtf! sorry im sure it hurt your feelings as it would mine, as im pretty sure that these forums are really important to you (1875 some posts! nice!)

 

Theres a nice post. No smilies, no all-caps, easy to read and punctuated nicely.

I've been giving him some grammar lessons on MSN actually, helping him straighten out some past and present-tense stuff. He's a good kid.

Anyone who makes the effort to learn another language THIS FAST and tries something this difficult to describe deserves props in my book. Besides, it wouldn't be the same Bit (or VW) without you!

 

CK your posts are always welcome; just the constant use of the word "Kickass" sometimes gets to be a bit annoying. Try to add more content to your posts as well.
