    Hi guys,

My wireless router keeps kicking me off the network.

Usually it works fine for a few minutes and then I get the "Limited or no connectivity" message. Repairing the connection usually gets the machine's IP reassigned but it gets dropped from the network again after 1 or 2 seconds. After this it normally takes 7 or 8 repair attempts to get an IP assigned and not be kicked off the network.

The router I'm using is a Linksys WRK54G. Wireless signal strength is usually in the "Very Good" to "Excellent" range.

What do people suggest doing here?

    Sam

What's the wireless card protocol? I had a similar issue a while ago with a draft N card and had to tweak security and other settings to get it to play nice with the router.

R U using the in-built Windows Wireless Manager or 3rd party wireless software to handle your wireless connection?

Have you tried turning off the router and turning it back on later?

Is the router getting hot and possibly overheating?

Have you tried without any Wireless Encryption to see if the problem persists?

Is the router up to date in firmware?

Does this problem happen with other wireless devices?
