The tiny fans on the back... They ruin it :( Or ruin as much as some little fans only can, but still...

Good work other than that. Gotta love 'em simple'n'stylish aluminum cases.

Definitely the mod that got me to buy my very own Lian-Li case, complete with dreams of doing similar things to it.. Never really got further than stealthing drives though (and I didn't have any FiO cable lying around :waah:)

For me though, the most retrotastic (or tragic?) picture is this one. Look at all of those IDE cables! USB->PS/2 convertors? Serial cables?! Ohh I'm glad we don't have to put up with that rubbish [much] any longer :D

Kudos to Macroman though: he inspired an entire generation of geeks. :thumb:

A fantastic mod even by todays standards, its one that apart from referances to things like deltas could still be top notch today should it apear in the project logs. way ahead of its time. I remember looking with awe Macroman's mods for a year befor i finally signed up to bit-tech and in many ways i credit his work as the stuff that got me into modding. Thanks to bit-tech for bringing this back into the lime light

Wow. A blast from the past, indeed. But you should have given the article page the Union Jack treatment, for Old Time's Sake(tm).

That fibre optic idea still has to be one of the best I have seen!

I know what you mean. I remember seeing this case a long time ago; the fibre optics and stealthed drives were the ideas which convinced me to build my own PC so I could apply similar techniques. Although I didn't start modding until a much later time, this is what got me interested.

I'm probably going to be modding a new case pretty soon and I might have to do a little fibre optic homage to Macroman. ;)

I remember I Was a faithful reader when this came out, I had started modding before, but this was the first case that really wowed me (before then everyone seemed intent on the 15 blow hole case mod) Great to see this case again, what ever happened to macroblack?
