:grr:ok so im putting the finishing touches on my wc setup. i go to swap out the barb fittings on my zalman 8800 gts waterblock when i realize i cant fit the koolance compression fittings that i want to use. i asked my grandfather for some advice on drilling the holes out and rethreading, he said it cant be done. but i wanted a second opinion.

As long as you use the proper tap set there shouldn't be any issues threading it; it looks like the threads are either G-1/4" or 1/4" NPT, but they're both so similar that either would work.

well i figured if anyone knows about drilling he does (he used to work in a machine shop back in the day)
my only concerned is since i only have to drill out 1 to 1.5mm its a very tight margin for error :geek:
btw the threading on the fittings are g 1/4
