It looks to me like it's less of a personal home, and more like a place designed to entertain. I would guess that they only live on 1 or 2 or the floors, and the rest are designed to accommodate guests.

Maybe they'll turn half of it into a hotel?

It's a personal home, but a lot of the space is taken up by their servants and other personel.

Besides, if you can't make yourself a massive tower to house your entire (extended) family when you're a multi-billionaire, then what can you do? :D

tbh if I had that sort of money to chuck around, I would prefer a large green estate, with a lake (and speedboats), several guest houses, a poolhouse and maybe some sort F1 style racing track and a luxury vehicle storage showroom. A lot better value for money than some gaudy city tower...

Jesus Christ.... I bet the service staff would be more than number of kids that went to my high school (450) or the population of the closest town where I grew up.

That place is basically a personal hotel, but if that's thier home, then home it is. Not i what i'd want to call home tho.

Imagine raising teenagers there, it would be like "daddy, can you give me a pass to get in the bar on level 14?"
dad: "No son, i told you, you're too young for that, you can go to the net cafe or get some exercise on the basketball court or swimming pool you lazy brat!"
son: ":grr: fine!" goes back to his room and orders some "room service" from his favourite masseuse

I wonder how many here wish they lived there right about now?

:O wow!!! It has it's own ballroom - imagine having a whole ballroom in your house? Do you think it'd come with a library also? What about a spa (or hot tub - whatever) ... secret passages maybe? I always wanted a house with secret passages. I think I read too many princess stories when I was growing up.

Pfff - I'd rather have all 300 Veyrons built, 50 db9s, 50 911 turbos, 50 F430s... hmm, I'm still only up to 1/2 the price of that house :p Maybe throw in a couple of F1s then.
Oh and a lifetime subscription to nurburgring (at least writing one off wouldn't be a problem)

Bit grotesque. But somebody has to push the barriers of art, architecture and design.

I really wouldn't want to live there. I wouldn't want to live in a 1 roomed flat (apart from a few years at uni maybe) but equally, that is completely ott. You would never be able to find anything, and I wouldn't feel able to invite any friends back because it is just so ridiculous.

Looks nice inside, but yeah, not my cup of tea - a bit TOO big if you ask me. Were I a billionaire I would problalbly have a mansion, but id also get people to live with me at very very affordable rates - otherwise id get lonely :)

The decor leaves little to be desired... well money is no substitute for taste, as they say...
