It is fairly easy to get US prices in the UK though by shopping on ebay from HK or by using Kerso.

You have to be careful with the HK warranty, but Kerso is a safe bet, and most of his wares come with international warranty.

I second using Kerso, good prices, great service, and shipped from the UK.

Amazing, I post a simple lens question and it turns in to a mini-Nikon-Canon flamewar :eyebrow:

Anyway, back to the thread, I went for the Canon, picked it up yesterday, going to take it out tomorrow for its "first test-drive" as it were, must say I'm more than happy with the image quality just looking around the house/garden with it, it's exceptionally sharp. Besides that, there is £40 cashback on it at the moment so it cost me a grand total for £400 from Jessops (yeah, I know ebay is cheaper still, but I don't want to have to deal with them incase it goes wrong).

Cheers guys, except photos tomorrow ^_^
