    Considering that the enclosure treats the two hard drives as one contingous blob, I would say no.

    For that price, I bet it only supports RAID 0 and JBOD. Would still do fine for TM though.

    No, the drives can run independently.

    If that's the case then name them differently, "TimeMachine" and Bob, or something like that. One time machine takes over a drive when you plug it in it will use it.

    Even if you can't run them independently, time machine doesn't take over the whole drive. If you can use HFS+ for everything (time machine requires HFS+), you could just run them as a big JBOD array and time machine will just eat up as much space as it needs.
