:confused:Hey Guys! 2 Days ago I bought a HD4870 and the performance for the video card is very good and im very satisfied. Im Reading Online that I can also buy HD4850 to Crossfire X with my current HD4870 to perform better. I wonder is it worth it to Crossfire X this 2 card or Its just wasting money? If I get this card how much % of performance of this Crossfire X setup can increase? Thanks!

Thanks for reading you guys

4870 en 4850 in CF gets you the same performance as just 2 4850's in CF. So if it's worth it, i dont know, but i suggest you save some more and get another 4870. That's well worth the money, and performance increases 100+% (Yes it does, and yes this is possible, as DAAMIT likes to say it: The overal cache increases, so it's possible the performance scales more then 100%)

im thinking maybe yes because a 4850 added into the mix should give a considreble boost to games that support crossfire and games that dont then the 4870 can cope on its own, of course 2 4870's will be better but if and when prices drop adding a 4850 to a 4870 could be a nice little cheap upgrade but i need to find more information before i take this route myself, im not even sure if mixing a 4870 and 4870 is possible with xp

As has already been said, yes it probably would increase performance, but I wouldn't bother, save that little extra and get anothewr 4870 tbh.
