Simon the Sorceror is quite good, though not fantastic. A lot of toilet humour.

If you're up for a challenge then grab LOOM by Brian Moriarty. Very interesting game, which is advertised by one of the pirates in the Scumm Bar in Monkey one.

Fantastical story about a magical world where a boy with the power of music is orphaned when his friends all transcend and turn into swans. The interface is built around playing music instead of using buttons. It sounds hard and weird, but is quite easy, short and fun.

I remember having the loan of an external floppy drive whilst I played and completed Monkey Island on my A500. Schweet.

Did anyone else enjoy Indiana Jones and the fate of Atlantis?

Yep, that was ace, too. I also vaguely remember Future Wars, where you started off outside a building on a window washer platform. I'll have to find that somewhere and have a play through it again one of these days.

Future Wars isn't one I've ever heard of and which I'll have to look up. Indy games were ones I never really got into - they were good enough, just not to my taste at the time I played them.

Got it...will give Loom a try. I'm onto the curse right now. I dunno why I find it harder. And the interface is Full Throttle like..which is good !

    Monkey Island with DX10?

    Interesting...

Personally, I think the whole series went down a bit after Monkey Island 2, but 3 and 4 were still great. And I'd still love to see a fifth.
