Build Advice E8500 VS Q9300

    Haay,

    What do you think is better for a gaming pc.
    The E8500 (with ATI 4870)
    or
    The Q9300 (with ATI 4850)
    I think the E8500 is better, because he has a higher GHZ.

    Dual Cores for gaming anyday. :thumb: So, yes you are right. E8500 is better.

    Even better is E8400 as there is hardly any difference in clock speeds but a considerable difference in price.

    go e8400, but remember to get a m/b that can hit high FSB speeds

    higher Ghz and also better graphics card. so e8500 + 4870.

    or e8400 + 4870 1GB, better gaming and no performance difference

    I think I use the MSI Neo3-FR (1600 FSB)

    Is that 1GB beter, I thought it had no difference

    But, im gonna use a 20 inch.
    So i think the 512 is enough?

    yes, for that it's more then enough. If you are not going to upgrade that anytime soon, get the e8500 + HD4870 512, and boogie!
