yes I am 14 No im not offended, why would i be, when you called him stupid you were not refering to me You may earn a lot, good for you, no problem, but him, possibly being 14, might also go and earn the money to buy that board. The chances are he's not a redneck because he says he is from England He might be overpaid from your perspective, you might be overpaid from mine, Its well done to him if he gets a good salary, same to you, same to everybody.
Mankz who lives in the UK Quoted the images, no one on this forum is responsible for that 'mod' from what i understand as no one has come forward and said. You sir need to chill out and relax. Happy new year guys!
Wow, I expected some debate, not a row. I mearly posted it because I'd never seen it done befor, not because I like the colours of it.
Even Cheapskate and I aren't that twisted! Painted MB? Where does that get pretty? Does it still even work? We should all just grab some permanent markers and graffiti our own boards. Just don't tell E.E.L. - he'll end up with pink and yellow and blue, and maroon, and .... john
I would ask the same thing? Does it even function after being painted? One would worry about it going up in flames because of the paint.... Hopefully it was just an old motherboard used as an experiment in the idea.
Yes I will agree that it looks bad, but I will give him credit for trying. My main concern with this would be that the paint would hold in a lot of the heat, causing the board a premature death.
This reminds me of when I spray painted my 7600GT's heatsink black. I even got it all over the TIM which was rock solid at that time and the thing is still running regularly. I'm off to investigate the price of a sheet of black acrylic.
I remember seeing a similiar mod yonks ago where a german bloke painted his green mobo pcb red to match his case internals and red pci/agp (yeah it was ages ago) cards. Anyway when done properly it does look alright, and doesn't appear to affect the life expectancy of the mobo as ideally you'd mask off all parts and quite literally paint the bare board only. Can't really understand why the guy didn't do that when he was spraying it white, wouldn't have looked half bad if he'd masked everything off and done thin layers but as it is it looks rubbish!
LOL BTW: Everyone's entitled to their opinion but if I see someone being an asshole about it you'll get removed.
