Ok seem to be having a problem with my cr@ppy 40x Eversping CDRW. When ever I put in a blank disc the LED on the front flashes twice then constantly flashes but does not recognise that a CD has been inserted. My current set up is CDRW to HD to PRIMARY IDE SLOT on mb and then CDR to secondary slot on mb. I tried changing the IDE cable and rebooting but it asks me to insert boot up disk...why:confused: ...Is my burner f****d or can anybody suggest anything

    Thx

How old is it? Possibly an RMA case there!

I would try RMAing it then and see if a new one is any better! Could well be just a faulty Drive. Other than that, have you checked the jumper settings on the back of the drive?
