    Hi,

Whenever I try and boot into Windows - or to a USB drive, I get a message saying that BOOTMGR cannot be found.

This happened after a USB installation of Linux that crashed.

I've tried to fix the MBR using SuperGrub Disk, but I've had no luck.

I don't have the recovery partition and I can't boot into Windows XP/Vista/7 from USB to run the recovery console (the same error message happens). I also don't have a DVD drive.

Could someone please help me ?

    Thanks

if you have a windows vista or 7 disc.. boot from that and it will try to automagically fix it

it doesn't always work though.. give that a try and come back if it's still jacked up

I've fixed it - it would not boot from a Vista/7 disc, but I used a Ubuntu live CD and repaired the MBR via Terminal.

    Thanks anyway.
