Not crazy enough ehh? Let's see what you think about this one then :D
    [IMG]

Five compartments, all with quick release barbs at the back, to allow you to rearrange/carry it piece by piece. I just need somewhere to mount the PSU and harddrives.

I have a vague idea of having the computer compartment filled with oil, and cool the chips both via water, that runs inside tubing not yet there. The water (and possible oil) will also recieve slight cooling from the heatsink at the back of their respective compartments.

I have also taken your suggestion and modified it a bit. Somewhere under all those heatsinks over the motherboard, RAM and graphic cards, there are a waterblock. The idea is that the heat that the water don't pick up is evenly distributed in the oil/air around the heatsink.

    Good/clever/stupid/strange idea?

Cool. It reminds me of a book shelf stereo. Wouldn't there be enough space for those components on the floor of your left and right radiator modules? The entire thing can be plumbed with dielectric oil instead of water.

I would have that on my desk and in plain sight.

Don't know what all the sections are - but they fit right:rock:

@Razers - I'm with Bill. You need an '80s boom box handle on it.:D
@Dark - Snazzy! Oil cooled Level 10. The floating compartment and round edges really set it off. If you are really building this, how do you access the tank?:eyebrow:

the metal part around the tank can be removed, and then you can access the tank from above

You guys are making it painful for me to read this thread... You see, I've had a few ideas bouncing around in my head for the past few days, and for once it wouldn't be SFF. It would make for an epic case, yet I've got absolutely no time to sketch it up.

Well I'm not sure its up to darks entry but here is my humble effort :)

    total size (L x W x D) = 400mm x 400mm x 350mm

Fully watercooled thanks to the dual loop each containing a 2x120mm rad in push pull with triple gfx being cooled by a custom water block also put in a handy touchscreen so no monitor needed :)

You still got a week and a half. Deadline isn't until November 1st. I love both of your designs Dark and Editor! Gonna have to get a bit more creative with mine.

I'm hoping we get a ton of surprise entries again.
@Editor - Quite nice. Still sane, but nice.:hehe:

A bit of a teaser to my entry I'm going to throw into the hat. This is just a bit, there is still a ways to go. Hopefully I can find the time to finish. It's modeled off of a jet turbine. I think it looks pretty cool so far, lemme know. (the video is kinda fast to save on space, but it seemed the easiest way to convey all the bits and pieces so far)
