    Best way to do the Wolsley on the cheap (well, it's still not cheap, but you know, it's not going to cause your wallet to explode) is to go for breakfast. It's posh as hell, and the pastries are terrific. I took Mrs Sifter there for Valentines one year and it was much appreciated.

    For restaurants, london-eating.co.uk is good for honest reviews from real people and you can find some good 50% off / 2-for-1 offers. timeout.com is worth checking too for food reviews. In terms of where to go, London has some terrific restaurants and some terrible ones, so it's important to do your research.
