Not a criticism but just a question. Why is there a bit-tech logo on the blackberry advert?

Feel free to remove this if it's out of order, but the advert looks terrible. It spoils the site in a number of ways:
    1. The gradient finishes abruptly
    2. The background/ad stops at 1280 pixels
    3. The lack of background below the gradient looks odd
Take my opinion with a pinch of salt, but I visited the homepage for the first time in weeks (regular RSS reader) and it put me off, even though I've been visiting the site for years.

I agree with Lazlow - some of the background adverts have been works of art, this one looks like they took screenshots of their flash ads and pasted them together.

And where, exactly, is the brand? Did it hurt?

Or perhaps a Blackberry with a portable Bindi banhammer. For when things are just NOT going your way..

    I really hate clickable backgrounds.

I always keep clicking the background and opening new ad tabs when I move away from FF and click back outside the "page" to restore window focus.

I don't mind the ad itself, but the anchor is set to 100% width, so even if I click outside the image it still loads. Perhaps a fixed px width would be better?

This, it is rather frustrating having to close a blackberry add when I click back on Bit-tech. I don't mind giving you additional clicks on your ad's, but this one is just annoying.

Me too. I keep on accidentally clicking on the ad. I'm hoping that all these accidental clicks aren't being interpreted as effective advertising.

Was that the ad that was up a week or 2 ago? I couldn't access your page in uni. Caused the whole system to crawl. Was quite slow, but not as bad, on my netbook too.
