    would you get charged VAT and import duties if you bought a laptop in US and flew back with is to UK?

    HP Envy 15 v2 has 5830 but way overpriced atm

    don't get a HP or parkard bell they have the worst build quality a laptop can buy and a recent suryey proves that and actually put asus top

    The return key is the same, that's just a manufacturers' difference. The main differences are the "£~#@ characters in different places (£ not at all). No big deal, apart from the £, but still a pain if you forget which keboard you are using and type a lot! lol

    AFAIK yes you do if you declare it at customs. Not sure if you can get away with it if you walk on with it as hand luggage while nonchalantly whistling an un-suspicious tune though. If you can, take a friend and get me one, i'll buy you a pint! :-D

    i assumed if you opened it it'd be classed as second hand so no duties hmmmm

    I think it's that the 3 key hasent got the £ on it, and the @ and " are switched around. And pos the \ key is moved over with the small enter key.

    Mind if i ask more details of what Xotic PC told you regarding the costs for getting the lappy and tax, warrenty etc?

    as they don't have stock yet they wouldn't confirm shipping costs etc with me, there live chat system hasn't been working this week but might just be my works blockin it. will try this evening

    kk seems there are diff specs :)
    asus g73jh-a1 : 2x500GB h/d's + bluray + backpack + mouse
    asus g73jh-a2: - bluray
    asus g73jh-x1: 1x500gb H/d - bluray - mouse - backup
    and more, just wish Asus would put it on there website so can get offical specs
