Was just checking this out; http://www.guardian.co.uk/music/musicblog/2010/mar/01/gorillaz-plastic-beach Gorillaz sound system are going to performing here in Athens this Saturday, but I couldn't make my mind up if I wanted to go. Am kicking myself that I didn't go. Am working tomorrow so can't go anyway. Anyway.
Looks promising, haven't given it a listen but I saw some of the featuring artists and I always liked the gorillaz music, it's different from what I normally listen to.
I have loved all their previous stuff, but I listened to this, and it gets a big 'meh' from me. Maybe I'll give it another go to see if it grows...
Good thread-dig, as I'd been meaning to post in it for a while now. Am I the only one who went out release day and bought a copy based entirely off the free preview? Honestly, I did: straight after work I cycled over to the nearest music store and grabbed a copy (special edition, nonetheless), partly because of how much I enjoyed listening to the album, and partially because of how much I support the idea of what they did with the free preview. I know a few people at work who did the same thing, but what about you lot?
