You're not the only one. I get my hardware delivered to work so I sit in the staffroom on my breaks reading the manual and admiring the parts i had ordered

 

Just finished splurging my geek juices on building the new system. Parts arrived at exactly 5 PM, the system is purring next to me as I try to find a @#$@ network cable/port which does work.

 

Got todays fix I'm not addict

Hi everybody, I am a geek!

And i found the best job in the world. Buying and installing hardware for a 150 people company. New stuff comes in every month and guess who gets to open it.........ME!

But just in case the shakes get to strong, there is an unopened Samsung SyncMaster 2443 in the corner.

the smell of new computer parts, the smell of freshly opened new games +boobs = heaven

 

I, too, enjoy the scent of new components.

Sometimes, I upgrade just for the sake of wafting that sweet scent towards my nose again.

Surprised there isn't a womens perfume that smells like it..

 

I guess most women don't want to be jumped by geeks in heat.

 

I think I might rather have my components smell like women's perfume.

My very own X58 Classified motherboard arrived at my other address yesterday evening. Now I can't wait to get home tomorrow to open it, admire it, smell it, install it and see just what it can do!

So, I think I might be a geek after getting my uncle to drive me from Birmingham(ism) area to where Scan are located (Newcastle-under-lyme?) to pick up my new 5870 as my poor 3870x2 sadly passed on (still sitting on my desk because I cannot throw her away!!). Bought a Titan Fenrir (Xmas edition!) just to make my main rig a little quieter (and I needed to do SOMETHING to the rig!). Of the three desktops in the house I've built two of them, people at University complain because my laptop is good, works and I can play games on it where there's are all naff but I spent about three weeks checking out different specs and price points and finding one that was right.

So yeah, I think I might be a hopeless geek but I am not entirely sure! Heh!
