    Article

Found a link to this article on the Guru3D forums.

I've had the pleasure of owning Galaxy's single slot edition GTX 260 and have to say it performed well - the fan could get noisy though.

Methinks I might look into getting a 470 PPU :eeek: . Joking!

    Or maybe not...

how did u get hold of the single-slot 260? i briefly looked into getting one of those as a PPU.

also i dont even wanna think about how hot a single-slot 470/480 will get.

Bought it from Ebay direct from Galaxy - it's not available anymore.
Jaysus! Not only is it going to be single slot, it'll have a slight speed increase as well!

I love my GTX480s and think the HSF on them is a really nice piece of engineering that brings heat and sound well within acceptable levels for power users. Not as great as HD5870 does with those items, but not out of line for high end boxes either.

That said, I'd be VERY impressed if Galaxy figured out a way to get that in single slot cards with the chips as they currently exist- looking forward to these card(s), single slot would be a very nice addition to the high end cards mix.
